Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- How can I add or update a radio station?
You can submit a request to add a new station or update existing information by using the following form:
https://onlineradio.ph/index.php?do=feedback - Why does the radio station stop playing after a few minutes?
If a station uses an HTTP stream, it is played through our custom script. This method has technical limitations and can only keep the stream active for about 3–5 minutes. After that, the stream must be restarted manually. To avoid this issue, we recommend using HTTPS streams instead. Our mobile app does not have this problem. - How is the radio station ranking calculated?
The ranking is based on a simple formula: the more listeners a station has, the higher it appears in the directory. However, the rankings are calculated based on data from the last 7 days. If a station becomes less popular, it will slowly move down in the ranking. - How is the top songs list generated for a station?
We track how many times each song is played on the station. The more frequently a song is played, the higher it ranks. This method helps highlight the most recent and popular hits that are getting the most airplay. - Why don’t some stations have playlists?
Not all radio stations provide metadata with song information. Our system attempts to extract this data from the stream, but if the data isn’t available, a playlist cannot be generated. Still, most stations include this information in their metadata, so playlists are available for many of them.
